Taylor Hughes joined Oregon as a Sports Dietitian Intern in 2016 and has since become a full-time Sports Dietitian for the Department.
Taylor started her time at the University of Oregon as a dietetic intern in 2016. Taylor transitioned into her full-time role upon completion of dietetic internship and has been working as a Sports Dietitian for the last four years.
Throughout her time at Oregon, Taylor has covered a variety of sports along with departmental oversight. Taylor directly oversees nutrition needs for the Football and Acrobatics and Tumbling programs. Taylor was previously a part of the Softball team for three years, in which she fueled them through a PAC 12 championship and back-to-back Women's College World Series appearances. Taylor has worked with the Football program since she started at Oregon, fueling them through three bowl game appearances, including their most recent PAC 12 Championship and Rose Bowl wins. Departmentally, Taylor oversees fuel station management and ordering, scheduling and development of student interns, and nutrition programming for individual teams.
Taylor is originally from Lexington, Kentucky and received her Bachelor of Science in Human Movement and Health Science Education from Butler University in 2013. In May of 2015, she earned her Master of Arts in Dietetics from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where she also completed her Dietetic Internship.
Taylor is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian in Oregon, and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
