Adam Linens joined the Oregon Athletic Department in August of 2015 and is in his fourth season as the strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball team. He is responsible for the program design and implementation of all aspect of performance enhancement for the men’s basketball program.
Prior to Oregon, Linens accumulated 10 years experience in the strength and conditioning and athletic training fields, including stops with teams in the NBA, WNBA and the NBA’s D-League.
Linens spent the year before his arrival in Eugene with the Canton (Ohio) Charge of the NBA’s D-League. Prior to that, he was on staff with the Atlanta Hawks and the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA, as well as the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
Linens is a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina, having earned his undergraduate degree in exercise and sport science. He received his Master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
After graduating from North Carolina, Linens worked as both a strength and conditioning coach as well as a certified athletic trainer for a number of professional clinics and high schools in the south, including the Hoops360 program, before starting with the Dream in 2012.
Linens is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2008), as well as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (2005). He is also certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) & Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
