2005-06
Oregon’s first All-American in 13 years willlook to continue the success found last year. Joined an elite field at the 31st annual Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic. Struggled with a 12-over performance (74-75-76-225) and finished 30th.
2004-05
Became the first All-American (honorable mention) at Oregon since Jeff Lyons in 1992 by tying for 24th at the NCAA Championships. Resurgence in last six tournaments was a key to Oregon’s strong spring finish. Played the best golf since his freshman year with a spring average of 72.1, five top-25 finishes and three rounds of 68. Overall season scoring average of 72.8 led the team. In the fall, tied for 21st at the Northwest Collegiate Classic (73-75-69-217) with a final round 69. Started spring by finishing 40th at the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate (75-68-77-220) where he matched his career low with a 68. Finished spring with four top-20 finishes in five events. Tied for 12th at the Western Intercollegiate (73-72-145). Best finish as a collegian came at the ASU Thunderbird, where he tied for third (72-68-73-213) and carded his second 68 of the season. At the Pac-10 Championships in Walla Walla, Wash. (near his hometown of Pasco), tied for 17th (73-71-74-68-286) and scored his third 68 of the year. At the NCAA West est Regional: consistent play with rounds of 70-70-71 led to a tie-for-10th at 1-over 211, and more importantly, an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. At the NCAA Championships: Earned All-America honorable mention status by tying for 24th with rounds of 72-72-72-73 for a 9-over 289 composite at the Caves Valley course. Became just the fifth Duck golfer to finish in the top 25 at the NCAA Championships in the last 30 years. Advanced to the round of 64 at the 2004 Pacific Northwest Amateur Championship. Continues the LaVoie legacy from his older brother Ryan, who competed for UO from 1997-2000, and won five tournaments on the way to all-Pac-10 selections in 1998 and 2000.
2003-04
Competed in nine tournaments and was sixth on the team with a 74.8 scoring average. Best showing was a tie for 10th at the Northwest Collegiate Classic (72-70-72-214), which also marked his highest career finish. Did not crack the top 40 again until late in the season when he tied for 29th at the U.S. Intercollegiate (73-73-74-220). Followed that with a 37th-place tie at the Pac-10 Championships (74-77-76-79-306). 2002-03: The younger brother of one of the best UO golfers of the late 1990’s was third on the team with a 74.5 stroke average. Saw action in 12 of 14 events. Solid play during the final month of the season with three top-40 finishes. Tied for 32nd at the ASU Thunderbird (69-75-68-212), tied for 37th at the U.S. Intercollegiate (68-77-74-219) and tied 21st at the Pac-10 champion-ships (78-72-73-76-299). Had career-low rounds of 68 at both the ASU Thunderbird and the U.S. Intercollegiate. Best showing of the season was a tie for 15th at the fall’s Prestige (70-71-77-218). At the NCAA WestRegional: Had the best NCAA West Regional round ever by a UO true freshman when he shot a 72 on day one at Washington National. Also contributed with a second round 74. Finished at 228 to tie for 76th. At the NCAA Championships: Had the best round of any Oregon player with a 1-under 71 on the third day. Tied for 72nd as he improved each day (86-75-71-232).
Before Oregon
The 2002 Washington 4A state champion at Pasco High School was also the youngest player ever to qualify for a BUY.com tour event when he qualified for the Tri-City Open at age 15. A four-year letterman for coach Tim Brown. Low prep score of 68. Finished fourth in the 2001 Oregon Golf Association tournament. In 2000, followed a runner-up showing at the state 4A championships with a second-place finish OGA stroke play and an eighth-place showing at the Washington state amateur.

Born Greggory Allen LaVoie, January 7, 1984, in Kennewick, Wash. Father is Pat LaVoie. One older brother and a sister (Denise). Brother Ryan was a Duck letterman from 1997-2000. Major is political science.
