2015-16: Led the Ducks in singles wins (21) and singles win percentage (.700) in her sophomore season, racking up a 21-9 overall record with a 16-4 mark in dual play … was named the Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for action during the week of March 7-13 ... opened the 2016 spring season with a 12-0 record, knocking off ranked opponents in No. 108 Caroling Daxhelet of Virginia Tech, No. 105 Stacey Fung of Washington and No. 54 Kassidy Jump of Arizona State … was ranked as high as No. 124 in the ITA singles rankings (March 22) … led the Ducks with a 6-3 mark in conference play, while going a perfect 8-0 in home matches … clinched Oregon’s win over No. 44 Houston in a 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(10) thriller over Tina Rupert … went a combined 16-2 in the No. 2, 3 and 4 spots, including a perfect 6-0 at No. 3 … went 21-11 overall in doubles play, posting a 12-6 record with teammate Nia Rose … Tobita and Rose’s win in the Ducks’ match against Arizona gave them 35 as a tandem for their careers, giving the Duck duo sole possession of second in the program record book for career doubles wins … posted two victories against ranked doubles teams, with wins over No. 37 Eales/Thompson of Long Beach State and Denver’s 44th-ranked tandem of O’Loughlin/Slattery … with Rose, was ranked as high as No. 74 in the ITA doubles rankings (April 26). Fall: Went 3-4 in singles, including a 2-1 performance at the WSU Invitational … Competed with Shweta Sangwan and Micheline Aubuchon to record a 7-4 mark in doubles … won her first five doubles matches of the fall with Shweta Sangwan.
2014-15: Finished her first season at Oregon with a 20-14 overall record in singles play and 25-10 mark in doubles action…is 1-of-2 players to reach the 20-win plateau on the season…her 25 wins in doubles play with fellow freshman Nia Rose is the second-most in a single season at Oregon all-time and sixth all-time in career wins…the Mililani, Hawaii, product was 13-8 in dual play, playing predominantly in the No. 2 singles position…clinched the match against UNLV with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-3 win, giving first-year head coach Alison Silverio her first dual victory on the road…had two stints of four-straight wins in singles, once in the spring and once in the fall…went 4-6 in Pac-12 play, posting wins over Utah, UCLA, Arizona State and Washington…upset No. 46 Jennifer Brady of UCLA 6-2, 3-2 (Ret.)...in doubles play, the freshman was 13-5 in dual play and 5-3 against Pac-12 foes. Fall: Started her collegiate career at Oregon with six-straight wins in doubles play with Rose and finished 12-4 in the fall…went 7-4 in singles, winning five of her last six matches in the fall.
Before Oregon: A five-star recruit out of Mililani High School according to Tennisrecruiting.net…a three-time Hawaii High School Athletic Association singles champion…took runner up honors at the state championships her senior season…inducted into the HHSAA Hall of Honor in the summer of 2014…a four-time Oahu Interscholastic Association west girls singles champion and OIA girls singles champion…ranked 38th in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net and 79th in the USTA rankings…won singles titles at the Pearl Harbor Junior Challenge, Pearl Harbor Easter Junior Championship, Wailuku Winter Junior Sectionals and the USTA Spring Junior Section Championships…also a doubles champion at the USTA Junior Championship and the Spring Junior Section Championships while taking runner up honors at the USTA Junior Section Championships and the Wailuku Winter Junior Championships.
