The Ducks are coming off a season-opening 7-0 sweep of Porland State last Friday. After winning two doubles matches, UO won five of six singles matches in straight sets before Tilde Jagare earned a three-set victory on court one – her first career match at the No. 1 spot in the lineup.
Jagare was named to the Big Ten's preseason players to watch list after leading the Ducks with a 7-2 singles record during the fall season. The Sweden native went 14-9 during the spring dual season a year ago.
Eighth-year head coach Courtney Nagle deployed three freshmen in the season opener in Hadley Appling, Virginia Crocker and Hinata Furutani. Each earned at least one victory in their dual collegiate debuts, while Crocker came away with both doubles and singles victories against the Vikings.
Oregon is 19-2 against the Vandals all time, with the last meeting coming during the 2022 season. Saturday's match with the Aggies will mark the first-ever matchup between Oregon and New Mexico State. Saturday's contests mark the spring season openers for both Idaho and NMSU.
All matches at the Student Tennis Center are free and open to the public. Follow Oregon women's tennis on Twitter @OregonWTennis with live results available at Oregon.statbroadcast.com.
