Colleen Wrenn continues to oversee key aspects of the UO program that relate to alumni relations, marketing, special events, home meets, and major events such as the 2008 Olympic Trials.
Wrenn served on the Eugene 08 steering committee, which established the vision for the 2008 Olympic Trials and directed athlete services for the Trials.
The native of Palo Alto, Calif., previously served as a special assistant to then-Oberlin College athletic director Vin Lananna, where she instituted a sponsorship program, directed marketing and promotions, coordinated stewardship, organized special events, and monitored student-athlete eligibility.
Wrenn brings international event experience to Oregon. She helped organize the 2002 and 2003 Oracle U.S. Open and USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and worked on the 2002 Modern Pentathlon World Championships, San Francisco’s 2012 Olympic bid, Morocco’s 2010 FIFA World Cup bid, Doha’s 2016 Olympic bid and Russia’s successful 2014 Olympic bid.
Wrenn received her master’s degree in sports administration from the University of North Carolina in 2004, and ran on its 2003 ACC indoor championship squad. As an undergraduate middle-distance runner and team captain for the College of William and Mary, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude in 2002.
