Stephenie Wheeler-Smith is in her second season as the director of women’s basketball operations at Oregon.
Prior to joining the Ducks for the 2014-15 season, Wheeler-Smith was a highly successful head coach at Cleveland High School in Seattle, Wash.
Wheeler-Smith guided Cleveland HS to Washington Class 3A state titles in both 2012-13 and 2013-14 and won three titles over her last six years. She went 133-34 overall as a high school head coach before joining the staff at Oregon.
While coaching at Cleveland HS, Wheeler-Smith worked at Boeing as a procurement agent.
Born Stephenie Lincoln, Wheeler-Smith grew up in Portland and graduated from Jefferson HS before playing basketball at Eastern Washington for two seasons.
Wheeler-Smith earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington in 2000 and secured a master’s degree from Seattle University in 2012.
Wheeler-Smith is married to Derrick Wheeler-Smith, and the couple have a son and a daughter.
