Clay Jamieson started at Oregon in 1998 and is currently responsible for managing the healthcare of student athletes on the men’s basketball and men's and women's golf teams. Prior to his time at Oregon, Jamieson was an athletic trainer at Pepperdine where he oversaw the care of student athletes on the men’s basketball, women’s volleyball and baseball.
A graduate of the University of Arizona (1994) with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, Jamieson earned his master’s in exercise and movement science from the University of Oregon in 1996, while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Jamieson also spent a summer as the athletic trainer for the 2003 Junior National Basketball Team at the World Championships in Greece.
Clay’s professional interests include manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation, and functional movement. A certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 1994, Jamieson combines a range of advanced clinical skills including Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Postural Restoration Institute, and Fascial Distortion Model techniques. He also holds additional certifications as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Jamieson resides in Eugene with his wife, Jan, son, Braeden, and daughter Aubrey. In his free time he enjoys fly angling for any fish that will eat a fly, hiking and camping, watching well-made super hero movies.
