Majstorovic has been coaching for seven years, beginning in 1998 as head coach of the youth squads at the Banjica Belgrade volleyball club. In 1999, he coached the Radnicki Volleyball Club youth programs, helping one team to a Serbian National Championship in 2000, and leading another to a national second place finish in 2001.
He also served as the assistant coach for the Radnicki Senior Team, leading the team to second place finish in 2000, and a Serbian Volleyball Cup championship in 2001. He simultaneously was an assistant coach for the Serbia Youth National Team.
From 2002 to 2005, Majstorovic was the head coach and sports director for the volleyball club Junior Belgrade. He led teams to three second-place finishes in international competition in Serbia and Holland. For four years, Majstorovic was also the director of summer and winter volleyball camps for this club.
Majstorovic’s background also includes impressive athletic accomplishments. He played competitively for eight years, including top-level in the Serbian First and Second Leagues. While playing in the Second League, Majstorovic was a top outside hitter and was twice chosen as best defensive player. Majstorovic was also a member of the Serbian Youth National Team, and a member of the National Beach Volleyball Team.
Marko Majstorovic graduated from Belgrade University in 2001, with a focus on physical education. He also earned a degree from the Sports Academy in Belgrade in 2000.
