Emma Carman is in her first season as an assistant coach for Oregon Acrobatics and Tumbling under head coach Taylor Susnara.
Carman, a New Englander will be the Ducks primary recruiter for the east coast. She will work alongside athletic performance, student development, and communications.
In her first season with the program, Carman helped lead the Ducks to the NCATA Quarterfinals. Oregon finished with a 2-5 record against a loaded schedule that featured four teams in the NCATA Championships field and five top-ten opponents. The Ducks picked up wins over No. 2 Azusa Pacific and No. 5 Hawaii Pacific. Carman helped coach Blessyn McMorris to NCATA Freshman of the Year honors while Alyssa Hew was named to the NCATA All-America team.
Before coming to the west coast, Carman served as the Acrobatics and Tumbling Manager at Quinnipiac University between 2017 and 2020. She created and executed social media content for the Bobcats and was the director for camps and clinics for the Bobcat program.
Carman was a part of the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) Proper Progression Program (3P), which is designed to provide specific training and networking opportunities to recent graduates who are interested in coaching in the sport.
Near the end of her time with Quinnipiac, Carman also served as the NCATA Live Reporter. She interviewed 32 coaches and developed all content for social media.
She graduated in May 2020 with a degree in journalism and a minor in sports studies.
