She made free throws for points No. 6 and 7 earlier in the game, and so it was only fitting that Mia Jacobs was back at the line Thursday afternoon with the chance to get the Oregon women's basketball team to point No. 67.
With Matthew Knight Arena packed with school kids for a midweek matinee, the viral "6-7" trend created a moment of joyous jubilation late in the third quarter when Jacobs completed a three-point play for the Ducks' 67th point, on the way to an 85-59 win over Portland. After making the free throw, Jacobs backpedaled down the court making the ubiquitous hand gesture associated with "6-7," as did hundreds of kids in the arena.
Jacobs finished the game with 21 points and 10 rebounds for her second straight double-double, and Katie Fiso finished one rebound shy of a triple-double, tallying 10 points, 11 assists and nine boards. Amina Muhammad added 12 points, while Avary Cain and Sarah Rambus added 11 each.

RING THE BELL
Junior guard Sofia Bell is a phenom on the court and in the classroom. Bell earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon after only two years and is already enrolled in an MBA program at UO. On the basketball court, she is a disruptor to opposing offenses and has developed into a knock-down 3-point shooter. The 6-foot Bell is second on the team with 23 made 3-pointers and second in blocks (9) and third in steals (21), recording at least one steal in 11 of 13 games this season with multiple steals in seven contests. On Dec. 7 at UCLA, she saw her career-best 13 stretch of consecutive games with a steal come to an end, dating back to last season. Bell has registered at least one theft in 44 of her 62 career games (70.9 percent), while finishing with multiple steals 23 times. Nine of her 26 career blocks have come this season after having just three over 28 games last year.
On the offensive end, she is shooting 39.0 percent from behind the 3-point line (23-of-59) and has drained multiple 3-pointers seven times. Her 15 points against Montana State on Dec. 14 tied her career high and marked the first time in her career she led the Ducks in scoring, becoming the seventh different player to lead UO in points this season. Bell is one of just 16 players in the nation, and one of two players in the Big Ten, to have at least nine blocks while making at least 23 3-pointers.
EHIS THE BEAST

Etute first turned in 15 points to go with eight rebounds against Old Dominion on Thanksgiving Day before a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double off the bench at Auburn on Nov. 30. It marked Etute's first double-double of her career while grabbing a career high in rebounds, going 7-of-10 from the floor. She scored nine points and hauled in 11 boards in the second half to help UO overcome a 14-point second-half deficit against the Tigers.

Long. standing at 6-foot, leads Oregon with 10 blocks while her 25 steals are tied for the team lead. Her 10 blocks are tied for the third-most among Big Ten guards, while she and Ohio State's Kennedy Cambridge are the only Big Ten guards with at least 10 blocks and 25 steals, as the duo are part of a group of just eight guards nationally with those numbers.
Long recorded four steals against Portland on Thursday, her second four-steal game of the season, after she registered a career-high three blocks against Montana State in the previous game. Long has led or tied for the team lead in steals six times this season while pacing the team in blocks five times.
Oregon looks to finish with a 13-0 nonconference record after its 85-59 home win over Portland on Thursday. With a win, it would mark just the third 13-1 start in program history and first since 2018-19 (also done in 1978-79).
