BOISE, Idaho - The University of Oregon men's tennis team fell 7-0 to the 32nd ranked Boise State Broncos Saturday afternoon in Boise, Idaho.
“We fought hard. We did a great job,” head coach Kevin Kowalik said following the match.
The loss drops the Ducks to 6-6 on the season.
The Ducks lost all three doubles matches to lose the point.
In singles play, Marcus Schiller got off to a great start, leading 23rd-ranked Luke Shields, 3-0, in the first set. Shields, however, went on to defeat Schiller, 6-4, 6-4.
In the second position, Thomas Bieri failed to convert on two set points before narrowly falling, 7-6, in the first set to Thomas Schoeck. After saving three match points in the second, Bieri finally dropped the set by a score of 6-3.
