EUGENE, Ore. -- Taylor Rochestie scored a career-high 30 points, Aron Baynes added 19 points and 12 rebounds and Washington State defeated Oregon 74-62 Saturday afternoon in McArthur Court. The Cougars improved to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in Pac-10 Conference play. The Ducks fell to 6-12 on the year and 0-6 in league action.
Rochestie was only 5-for-13 from the field but 16-16 in free-throws. The Cougars (11-5, 3-2 Pac-10) hit all 28 free-throws.
Tajuan Porter and LeKendric Longmire each scored 15 to lead the Ducks (6-12, 0-6), who played the final 12 minutes without coach Ernie Kent after he was ejected for the first time in his 12 seasons at Oregon after picking up two technicals two minutes apart.
The game turned early in the second half following Kent's first technical at the 14:30 mark for arguing with official Chris Rastatter after he called a foul on Oregon's Josh Crittle.
Then with 12:12 to play, Kent was ejected for arguing a non-call under the Oregon basket.
