Oregon Wraps Up Competition at Freeman Memorial

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Oregon women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Freeman Memorial Tennis Tournament on Sunday afternoon on the campus of UNLV.
Freshman Madelie Janse van Rensburg had the most successful weekend for the Ducks, battling back to the consolation finals after dropping her first match on Friday. The native of South Africa took the first set against Arizona State's Sianna Simmons but dropped the second and third frames for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 final.
Georgia Tech's Irina Falconi defeated USC's Sarah Fansler in the Flight A singles final to win the tournament. Fresno State's Tinesta Rowe took home the Flight B championship with a victory over USC's Lindsay Kinstler. The Fresno State team of Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova won the doubles title.
The Ducks will host their first dual matches this weekend with Idaho and Portland on Friday and Houston on Sunday.
