BIG MIKE PUTS UP BIG GAME IN LAST OUTING
Sophomore center Michael Dunigan produced a career-best effort of 26 points in Monday's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The 6-10 post from Chicago, Ill., made a career-best 10 of his 14 field goals to finish the game shooting 71.4 percent. He also hit 6-of-9 free throws for 66.7 percent.
Dunigan has recorded double-digit scoring efforts in four of his last five games, averaging a team-best 14.2 points per outing while making 59 percent of his shots (24-of-41) along the way.
On Dec. 22 against Idaho State he scored 14 points while setting career-highs with free throws made (8) and attempted (10).
In the home win over Oakland on Dec. 19, Dunigan recorded his third career double-double (first of season) with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
PORTER BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD, PAC-10 RECORDS IN REACH
In the first half of Oregon's 95-64 home win over UC Davis Saturday, Nov. 14, Tajuan Porter set a new school record for career 3-pointers. He passed Orlando Williams (1991-95) who held the previous mark with 282 made 3-pointers in 112 games. Porter has made 298-of-764 attempts (.390) in 106 games played (complete list on page 6).
Porter needs 45 more 3-pointers to break the Pac-10 Conference record held by Arizona's Salim Stoudamire who made 342 career 3-pointers from 2002-05. Porter is also on pace to eclipse the Pac-10's 3-point field goals attempted record held by Arizona State's Stevin Smith who took 891 career 3-pointers from 1991-94.
PORTER JUMPS INTO TOP 10 IN CAREER SCORING
Tajuan Porter recently jumped into the top 10 in career scoring at Oregon. Porter has scored 1,523 points in 106 career games (14.4 ppg). He passed Aaron Brooks who previously ranked 10th in scoring with 1,511 career points. Ron Lee (1972-76) is Oregon's all-time leading scorer, recording 2,085 points in 112 career games. Lee, UO's only 2,000-point scorer, averaged 18.6 points per game over his four-year career with the Ducks. If Porter continues to score at his 14.4 ppg clip, he will be on pace to move into fourth place in school history (behind Ron Lee, Luke Jackson and Anthony Taylor).
Last season Porter became the 29th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark. Porter, who has started 94 career contests, reached the milestone in the Ducks 84-77 road win over UC Irvine. He is the 10th player to reach the milestone under head coach Ernie Kent, and the fifth player in the last four seasons (Brooks, Malik Hairston, Bryce Taylor, Maarty Leunen) to eclipse the figure under Kent's direction.
LAST TIME OUT: OREGON 73, ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF 53
Sophomore center Michael Dunigan posted a career-high 26 points to lead Oregon to a 73-53 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday night at McArthur Court in Eugene. The win was the Ducks' fourth straight, improving their season mark to 8-4 overall. The Golden Lions dropped to 0-11.
Dunigan made a career-best 10 field goals (10-of-14) and added five rebounds, three blocks and two steals in just 28 minutes of action. Senior guard Tajuan Porter had 15 points, going 5-of-7 from behind the 3-point arc. Sophomore guard Malcolm Armstead had 14 points, matched a career-best with eight assists and added a team-best three steals.
It was the first time all season that the Ducks won a game which they were out-rebounded, as UAPB finished with a 35-26 edge on the glass. Freshman forward E.J. Singler again posted a team-best in rebounds with seven, the third straight game he has led UO in rebounding. Four Golden Lions finished with four or more rebounds, led by Gavin Montgomery and Lebaron Weathers who both had five.
The Ducks shot 52.1 percent on field goals (25-of-48), while hitting 46.2 percent of their 3-pointers (6-of-13). UO went 17-of-24 on free throws for 70.8 percent. Oregon limited UAPB to 39 percent shooting (23-of-59), including 3-of-14 on 3-pointers (21.4 percent).
LOOKING AHEAD AT THE SCHEDULE
The Ducks will play their first home game of the Pac-10 slate on Sunday, Jan. 10 when they host rival Oregon State in a game televised on Fox Sports Net. UO will host Arizona State and Arizona the following weekend (Jan 14-16). The Ducks-Sun Devils game will be televised by OSN on Comcast SportsNet Northwest, while the game against the Wildcats is on Fox Sports Net.
STUDENT-ATHLETES HAVE STRONG QUARTER IN THE CLASSROOM

DUCKS CONTINUE REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE
Oregon has a 7-1 record this season when out-rebounding opponents (1-2 when out-rebounded, 0-1 with even number of rebounds). The only time the Ducks have out-rebounded their opponent and lost came in the road loss to Missouri, where UO held a 43-35 rebounding advantage.
The Ducks have a 165-109 edge in offensive rebounds through 12 games, with that leading to the UO's 176-111 advantage in second-chance points this season. In the eight wins, UO is averaging 14.8 second-chance points per game. In the four losses, the Ducks are averaging 9.5 second-chance points.
Michael Dunigan leads UO in rebounding (4.4 rpg), one of four Ducks averaging 4+ per outing (Jeremy Jacob - 4.3, E.J. Singler - 4.3, Jamil Wilson - 4.2).
