Oregon Sweeps New Mexico, 7-0

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Oregon women's tennis team cruised a 7-0 win in their first road dual of the season on Friday night against New Mexico. The Ducks improve to 5-1 this season with the victory. New Mexico falls to 1-3 with the loss.
Freshmen Julia Metzger and Sabine Fuchs won in impressive fashion at No. 2 doubles to start their day, with an 8-0 win over Kristin Eggleston and Laura Richardson. Metzger's solid play continued in singles as she won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Oregon had four freshman starting in the singles line-up (Metzger, Emmanuelle Cor, Patricia Skowronski and Mahdi Besovic) with all of them winning.
The Ducks will stay in the desert to play Colorado on Saturday.
