TEMPE, Ariz. -Ty Abbott scored 19 points and Rihards Kuksiks had 12 as Arizona State rallied to defeat Oregon 61-51 on Saturday and keep pace in the Pac-10 race.

Abbott hit 5 of 13 shots from beyond the arc to spark the Sun Devils (18-8, 8-5 Pac-10), who trailed by nine points late in the first half. Arizona State remained a game behind California, which beat Washington State earlier in the afternoon.

The Sun Devils broke open a close game with a 12-0 run midway through the second half. Abbott connected three times from beyond the arc during that stretch.

Malcolm Armstead scored 16 points and Matt Humphrey had 11 for Oregon (12-12, 4-8).

POSTGAME NOTES

2009-10 Oregon team stats for a single-season
- Oregon had one block against the Sun Devils and now have a total of 78 through 24 games played. The Ducks are on pace to register 101 blocks which would be the third-highest for a single-season at UO.

- Oregon corralled seven offensive rebounds against ASU making the season total for the Ducks 305 (12.7 orpg). UO's projected total of 397 would rank fifth on the single-season charts.

- Senior guard Tajuan Porter made one 3-pointer at ASU, extending his school-record 324 in 118 games played (324-of-845, .383). He is currently alone in scond place in Pac-10 Conference history and needs 19 more 3-pointers to break the league record held by Arizona's Salim Stoudamire who made 342 career 3-pointers from 2002-05. - Porter remains in sixth place for career scoring at UO (1,659 points in 118 games). Porter has now scored 1,092 career points in Pac-10 games alone (66 games played).

- Porter remains 10th in school history with 537 career field goals made (537-of-1377). Next up on the list: No. 9 Fred Jones (1998-02) who made 554 baskets in 125 games.

- Porter is also in 10th at UO with 95 steals in 118 career games. Next on the list: No. 9 A.D. Smith (1995-00) who had 97 steals in 117 games.

Dunigan career and single-season numbers
- Sophomore center Michael Dunigan is alone at eighth place in school history for blocked shots. He has 61 blocks in just 51 career games. Next on the list: No. 7 Brett Coffey with 63.

- Dunigan's 33 blocks moves him into a tie for sixth place (w/Blair Rasmussen, 1984-85) on the single-season charts at UO.

Armstead single-season numbers
Sophomore guard Malcolm Armstead ranks just outside the single-season top 10 with 50 steals in 24 games (2.1 spg). He is one shy from joining Kenya Wilkins, Terrell Brandon and Maarty Leunen for a tie of eighth place.
