Ducks Sweep Trojans with 54-44 Road Victory

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tajuan Porter scored 16 points to lead Oregon past Southern California 54-44 on Thursday night.
The Ducks (13-14, 5-10 Pac-10) were trailing 44-42 with a little more than six minutes to go but went on a 12-0 run to finish the game.
LeKendric Longmire added 13 points for the Ducks, who snapped a five-game losing streak.
Alex Stepheson scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Trojans (16-11, 8-7) and Marcus Johnson added 12 points.
Oregon outscored USC 16-4 to start the second half, erasing the Trojans' nine-point halftime lead. The Ducks then took their first lead of the game when Longmire made two free throws putting them ahead 37-36 with about 12 minutes remaining.
The Ducks shot just 36.7 percent from the floor (18-of-49), but held the Trojans to 19-of-58 on field goals for 32.8 percent.
Oregon hit 16-of-24 on free throws, while USC managed to go just 1-of-5.
The Ducks snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory, which moved them to 13-14 overall and 5-10 in conference play. USC dropped to 16-11 on the year and 8-7 in the Pac-10.
Oregon's next game is at UCLA on Saturday at 2 p.m. (PST). The game will be televised on Fox Sports Prime Ticket.

- Oregon's last sweep of USC came in the 2004-05 season. UO recorded back-to-back sweeps, including the 2003-04 season, as part of a six-game winning streak against the Trojans which dated back to the 2002-03 season).
