Ducks Complete Season-Sweep of LA Schools

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tajuan Porter scored 29 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 49.6 seconds remaining, and Oregon beat UCLA 70-68 Saturday to end a six-game losing streak at Pauley Pavilion.
Porter's seventh 3-pointer snapped a 65-all tie and came after the Bruins (13-15, 8-8 Pac-10), in their final home game of the season, rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit.
UCLA's Jerime Anderson committed a turnover with 27 seconds left, and Jeremy Jacob then made two foul shots on four attempts to clinch the victory for the Ducks (14-14, 6-10). Michael Roll's 3-pointer with less than a second remaining completed the scoring.
Jacob matched a career high with 19 points and had 10 rebounds.
Roll equaled his career high with 25 points, Malcolm Lee scored 18 and Tyler Honeycutt had 13 rebounds and nine assists.

- Oregon's last sweep of UCLA was back in the 2002-03 season, which came as part of back-to-back sweeps (2001-02 season as well) and a five-game winning streak against the Bruins (from Jan. 31, 2002 through March 14, 2003).
- The last time Oregon won all four regular-season meetings with the Los Angeles schools came during the 2001-02 season.

- Porter pushed his school-record career 3-point total to 334 in 122 games played (334-of-866 .386). He ranks second in Pac-10 Conference history and needs nine more 3-pointers to break the league record held by Arizona's Salim Stoudamire (342, 2002-05). He is also just 25 shy of matching the Pac-10's 3-point field goals attempted record held by Arizona State's Stevin Smith (891, 1991-94).
- With the 11 field goals made at UCLA, Porter moved into ninth place in school history with 556 career field goals made (556-of-1426, .390), passing Fred Jones (1998-02) who made 554 baskets in 125 games.
- Porter had one steal Saturday versus the Bruins, and now has 100 career steals (122 games) which ranks ninth all-time at UO. Next on the list: No. 8 Terrell Brandon with 114 (in 57 games from 1989-91).
