EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's tennis team's rally came up short against Sacramento State on Friday night. After dropping the doubles point, the Ducks took three singles matches but could not clinch a fourth to cap the comeback.
Patricia Skowronski was down 2-6 in the final set tie break and came back with six consecutive points to win 8-6. Julia Metzger handled her match 6-1, 6-2. Sabine Fuchs also won her No. 6 singles match in straight sets.
"This is what college tennis is all about...You want to be here for the tough ones" said head coach Paul Reber.
The Ducks will return on Sunday at 1pm to play University of Nevada.
