Ducks Top WSU in Overtime at Pac-10 Tournament

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Senior guard Tajuan Porter scored 32 points, including eight in overtime, and the University of Oregon men's basketball rallied for an 82-80 victory over Washington State on Wednesday night in the Pac-10 Conference tournament opener.
The Ducks improved to 16-15 overall with the victory, which advances them to play top-seed California (21-9) on Thursday afternoon. Washington State ends its season at 16-15 on the year.
Joining Porter in double-figures in scoring was sophomore guard Teondre Williams and freshman forward E.J. Singler who each tallied 11 points. Singler hit a tip-in at the end of regulation to tie the game and send it to overtime. Junior forward LeKendric Longmire and Williams each tallied a team-best six rebounds.
Klay Thompson scored 20 points and made six 3-pointers for No. 9-seeded Washington State (16-15), which had five players score in double figures. Marcus Capers added 16 points.
Oregon shot 50.8 percent from the floor (33-of-65), while hitting 37.5 percent of its 3-pointers (6-of-16). The Ducks made 10-of-10 from the charity stripe, including 5-of-5 from Porter. WSU hit 46.0 percent from the field (29-of-63) and 10-of-21 on 3-pointers (47.6 percent).

It also marked the 30th time of his career that Porter scored 20 or more points (sixth time on the year). It was Porter's 14th double-figure scoring effort on the season (and his fifth consecutive). It was also the 85th time of Porter's career where he's gone for 10 or more points.
