Isagawa tied for Second in Ihlanfeldt First Round

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The No. 34 University of Oregon women's golf team opened action in fourth place after the first round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Monday on the Sahalee Golf Course.
The Ducks shot a 13-over 301, and were only three strokes out behind team leader Oregon State (first, 298).
Two other top-20 teams in the 12-team field – No. 17 Colorado and No. 16 California – were tied for second place at 299. The other top-25 team in the field, No. 21 Washington, trailed UO by two strokes in fifth place (303).
On the 6,003-yard course, freshman Cassy Isagawa shot an even par 72 Monday and was tied for second place in the overall standings, two strokes shy of leader Alex Stewart of Colorado (70). The Wailuku, Hawai'i native led UO for the second time already in her four collegiate rounds, and was one stroke shy of her season-best score.
Junior Cheyenne Hickle and sophomore Raphaela Dyer followed in a tie for 14th place (76), and senior Ashley Edwards also stood top 25 (24th-tie, 77). Freshman Monica Petchkan (50th-tie, 82) rounded out the Duck contingent in her first collegiate round.
Isagawa carded four birdies on holes #5, 7, 17, 18, 10 par scores (#2-4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16) and four bogeys (#1, 9, 12, 14).
Among other birdie counts, Dyer and Hickle each added two, and Petchakan ended with one.
