The Ducks have a busy schedule as they play three games in the next seven days. After hosting games with Eastern Washington and Southeast Missouri State this week, the Ducks are back on the road to face Nebraska on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
After a five-day break from games, UO returns to action with a home contest against UTEP scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29. Four days later the Ducks are in Salt Lake City, Utah, for a neutral-site contest with BYU.
After a brief hiatus from games to focus on finals week, UO will resume play with six straight home games in 13 days. UO plays Fresno State (Dec. 10), Portland State (Dec. 12) and Virginia (Dec. 18), before hosting the Global Sports Hoops Showcase featuring North Carolina Central (Dec. 20), Prairie View A&M (Dec. 21) and Stephen F. OREGON INKS THREE PREP PLAYERS DURING EARLY SIGNING PERIOD

It is the second straight season that Altman has signed a strong recruiting class. UO brought in a consensus top 25 recruiting class a year ago according to Scout.com (No. 20), Rivals.com (No. 21) and ESPN.com (No. 23).

LAST TIME OUT: NO. 7 VANDERBILT 78, OREGON 64
Oregon opened the 2011-12 season on the road against seventh-ranked Vanderbilt, losing by a score of 78-64 at Memorial Gym in Nashville. The game was the regular-season opener for both schools.
It was just the fourth time in school history that UO opened the season with a ranked opponent, falling to 0-4 in those games. But the Ducks didn't go down easily as Tony Woods had a team-high 12 points. Brett Kingma and E.J. Singler had 10 each.
The Commodores struggled early despite the sellout crowd. The Ducks hit eight of their first 10 shots and led by as much as 18-12 after Brett Kingma's 3-pointer with 12:18 left. Oregon last led 29-26 when Garrett Sim hit the first of two free throw attempts with 3:17 remaining. The Ducks didn't score the rest of the half.
UO finished with 20 turnovers, which Vandy turned into 24 points. That turnover total was the most for UO since Dana Altman took over as head coach. Oregon's season-worst turnover total in Altman's first year was 17 (which happened on four occasions in 2010-11). UO also shot poorly from the free throw line, hitting just six of the 17 attempts (35.3 percent).
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR OREGON MBB GAMES
UO Athletics will once again partner with First Student as the public transportation provider for 2011-12 Oregon men's basketball season. The three pick-up locations are: Autzen Stadium south gate, the Springfield LTD station and a new downtown Eugene location (on E. 10th between Willamette and Oak; parking available in Overpark Garage). The fare is $4 round trip or a season pass can be purchased for $40 at the Moshofsky Center ticket office or the Matt Arena Box Office. Service will begin one hour prior to the game and conclude 15 minutes immediately following the game.
DUCKS TABBED FIFTH IN PAC-12 PRESEASON POLL
Oregon was predicted to finish fifth in the 2011 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Preseason Media Poll announced at the league's media day on Oct. 28. UO garnered 282 points in the inaugural poll for the 12-team conference.
UCLA, which received 14 first-place votes, was picked to win the league with a total of 421 points. California earned 405 points and 13 first-place votes to edge-out Arizona (404 points, 11 first-place votes) for second.
Washington earned 355 total points for fourth place. Oregon ranked just in front of No. 6 Stanford (255 points), with USC following at No. 7 after receiving 194 points. Oregon State was picked eighth (188 points), Arizona State ninth (148 points), Colorado and Washington State are tied for 10th (119 points). Utah rounded out in 12th (74 points).
