- JR RB Kenjon Barner eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the fourth time this season (15 att, 123 yds) and sixth time in his career.
- JR RB LaMichael James moved into first on Oregon's career list for all-purpose yards, passing Derek Loville (5,223 from 1986-89). With 94 in the game, James has 5,310.
- JR QB Darron Thomas passed Akili Smith (5,515 from 1997-98) to move into eighth on the career list for total offense with 5,767.
- JR LB Michael Clay had a team-high 12 tackles (five solo), matching his career-high for a third time - all this season.
- With 214 all-purpose yards, FR RB De'Anthony Thomas now ranks eighth in a single season at UO with 1,711. He had a kickoff return for a touchdown for the second time this season, a 96-yarder to tie for the seventh-longest in school history.
- SR DE Brandon Hanna made his first career start and recovered both of USC's lost fumbles.
- James' 78 rushing yards gave him 1,285 on the season, good for fifth in a single campaign by a Duck. James also added another top 10 for all-purpose yards in a season (1,616) to his resume and ranks ninth on that chart.
- Da. Thomas has thrown a TD in 23 straight appearances, the second-longest streak in the nation behind Wisconsin's Russell Wilson (35).
- Oregon was a season-worst 3 of 6 in Red Zone chances, including both of its turnovers.
- The Ducks home winning streak, which was the longest current stretch in the nation, ended at 21 games. The home loss was also the first in Chip Kelly's tenure as head coach.
- The last team to beat Oregon on its home field was Boise State in 2008 (37-32).
- The victory by USC was its first at Autzen Stadium since a 45-13 result in 2005.
- Oregon trailed 38-14 and scored 21 unanswered points. SO K Alejandro Maldonado's potential game-tying, 37-yard field goal attempt sailed to the left as time expired.
- Oregon also saw its conference winning streak end at 17 games.
- The crowd of 59,933 (seating capacity 54,000) marked the 80th consecutive sellout at Autzen Stadium, dating to 1999. The last non-sellout was Sept. 18, 1999 vs. Nevada.
-
Oregon can clinch the Pac-12 North and hosting
rights for the inaugural league championship game with a win vs. Oregon State. A UO loss and Stanford wins the North.
