DENVER – The road once again proved troubling for Oregon as the Ducks set a number of season lows in an 89-65 loss to Denver on Sunday afternoon at Magness Arena.

Denver (7-3) set a new season scoring high with its 89 points, shooting 55.0 percent (33-of-60) from the floor as four players reached double figures led by Kaetlyn Murdoch's game-high 21 points on an 8-of-9 performance.

The Ducks did however hold two edges, scoring 14 second-chance points on 17 offensive rebounds. Oregon also shot a season best 94.4 percent (17-of-18) from the fee-throw line.
The Ducks outscored Denver 44-41 in the second half, but they couldn't make up for a 27-point first-half deficit.
Oregon got behind early trailing 48-21 at the break as the 27-point halftime deficit was the Ducks' largest of the year.
Oregon shot just 6-of-30 (.200) from the floor, and Deanna Weaver's lay-up at the 9:02 mark was Oregon's last field goal of the half. The Ducks' final seven points were all scored at the free-throw line.
Denver took advantage of Oregon's miscues, scoring 15 points off the Ducks' 12 first-half turnovers, as well as nine points on eight offensive rebounds as the Pioneers held a 24-16 rebounding in advantage at the end of the first period.
Murdoch had 16 first-half points as Denver outscored the Ducks 22-9 in the paint during the first half. The Pioneers shot 58.1 percent (18-of-31) from the floor.
