Postgame Quotes
Dec. 21, 2011 - Matthew Knight Arena

Dana Altman
Opening statement…
“We had three guys play well offensively, E.J. (Singler), Garrett (Sim) and Devoe (Joseph). They allowed us to score points. We just never got a flow offensively. [Prairie View A&M] doubled Tony (Woods) quite a bit and we just never got a flow. We found a way to win but we were sluggish and didn't make the steps to improve as I would have liked.”
On the game…
“We turned the ball over inside. Devoe (Joseph), E.J. (Singler), and Garrett (Sim) did a good job of handling the ball, controlling, and making plays and hitting shots.”
On Garrett Sim's performance this season…
“He has done a good job. He is competitive and played pretty good tonight.”
On the new players' performance this season…
“The new guys are struggling a little bit. They are having a tough time trying to find the rhythm. The guys who have been in the program helped us survive. The returners helped us win the game. We have to get the new guys more comfortable.”
Garrett Sim
On the game…
“We are not totally pleased. We came out relaxed but we ended strong. We need to put this behind us and move on for tomorrow's game.”
“We came together and played with more excitement. We knew we had to pick it up and start controlling the game more.”
On the physical game (during game confrontation)…
“What happened was that two guys were going hard. It looked worse than it was but they were just competing and that can happen in sports sometimes.”
Devoe Joseph
On the game…
“We did not fatigue. We just do not have as much energy from the crowd because the students are on break.”
“The more we play together and settle into the offense, the better we will play.”
On his play…
“I have played offense for a year. I am a senior guard so I feel pretty comfortable.”
