No. 10 Cal Tops Oregon

The Ducks (10-9, 1-3) recorded a 7-6 win at No. 3 doubles, with Baptiste Faynot and Jose Izquierdo teaming up to win 7-6 over Cal's Ben and Riki McLachlan.
Oregon lost all singles contests to the Golden Bears, but pushed matches at Nos. 2 and 3 to a third set.
Faynot took No. 96 Nick Andrews to a third set at the No. 2, falling 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5) in a super-set tie-breaker. Oregon's Robin Cambier and Cal's Chris Koningsfeldt also played to a third set at the No. 3 position, 7-6, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).
The Ducks return to action Saturday at 11 am (PT) when they host No. 9 Stanford (12-5, 2-1). The match will be played at the outdoor courts (weather permitting) or indoor at the student tennis center on campus.
