Singler's Career Day Leads Ducks Over UCLA, 75-68

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- E.J. Singler scored a career-high 26 points and Oregon rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat UCLA 75-68 on Saturday.
Garrett Sim added 16 points for the Ducks (15-5, 6-2 Pac-12), including a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to spark the comeback. Devoe Joseph had 10 for Oregon, which has won four straight conference games for the first time since winning six straight in 2007.
Singler scored 20 points in the second half and was 16 of 17 from the free-throw line.
Travis Wear led the Bruins (10-9, 3-4) with 17 points, and Lazeric Jones added 14.
The Ducks shot 23 percent from the floor in the first half and trailed 37-24 at the break. But Oregon opened the second half on a 15-2 run and took the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Johnathan Loyd that made it 55-52 with 6:49 to play.
Oregon (15-5, 6-2) is tied atop the Pac-12 standings with California (16-5, 6-2). The Ducks will host Oregon State next Sunday in the only game of the week for both schools.
POSTGAME NOTES
- It's the first time that an Altman-led Oregon squad has won four-consecutive conference games. The last time the Ducks won four conference games in a row was 2006-07 season when the Aaron Brooks led No. 16 Ducks took down the then No. 1 UCLA Bruins to start a five game conference win streak.
- The starting lineup of Garrett Sim, Devoe Joseph, E.J. Singler, Jeremy Jacob and Tony Woods made their sixth consecutive start this afternoon. The group improved to 6-1 as a starting unit.
- E.J. Singler scored a career-high with 26 points (making a career-best 16-of-17 on free throws).
- The Ducks took their first lead in the ballgame, 52-50 with 7:47 left in the second half.
- It was just the second time this season that Oregon won a game when trailing at the half (now 2-4 overall when down at the mid-way point).
- The Ducks improved to 11-2 overall in home games this season. The Ducks are 8-1 when they commit fewer turnovers than the opposition. Oregon improved to 6-1 this season when holding an opponent under 70 points.

- The Ducks shot 22.6 percent on field goals in the first half. That is the second lowest percentage this season (for a first half). Lowest this season was 20 percent versus N.C. Central on Dec. 20.
