Ducks Duo Ends Run at All-American
10/06/12 | Men's Tennis
TULSA, Okla.-- The University of Oregon's doubles team of sophomore Robin Cambier and senior Jeff Mullen have finished competition at the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla.
After making a solid run through the doubles consolation bracket, the duo faced a tough matchup against the University of Georgia's Hemus Pieters and Ben Wagland but ultimately fell short. The Ducks battled hard and showed their skills, but fell 6-4, 4-6, 5-7.
"The quality of tennis
today was at a very, very high level," said head coach Nils Schyllander. "I'm proud of the boys for taking a
team like the Georgia Bulldogs down to the wire. Unfortunately, it didn't fall our way in
the end but im proud of the way we played
to win and we just came up a tad short."
The rest of the Ducks men's tennis team is competing this weekend at the Boise State Fall Classic. Check goducks.com at the end of each day for results.
