Oregon Places Ninth At The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Oregon Ducks shot a nine-over 293 as a team on Wednesday afternoon to finish The Prestige at PGA West in ninth place.
Oregon shot a three-day total of 877 (291-293-293) and finished seven strokes behind eighth-place Arizona State (286-294-290=870).
Washington and USC were named the tournament's co-champions after each school finished at one-under par. USC shot -6 as a team today to capture a share of the title.
Freshman Sulman Raza paced the Ducks in the individual rankings, finishing in a tie for 21st (71-73-73=217) out of 88 golfers. He shot two-over par today and finished the tournament +4. Senior Tyler Parker followed Raza in a tie for 33rd, shooting seven-over for the tournament (72-74-74=220) and 74 (+3) today. Sophomore Jonathan Woo carded a 74 today to wrap up his tournament in La Quinta, Calif., and send him into a tie for 40th. Freshman Robbie Ziegler (76-75-72=223) and senior Robbie Ziegler (72-76-75=223) rounded out the Oregon golfers; they both finished in a 45th-place tie.
UCLA's Pedro Figueiredo won the individual championship by shooting a three-day total of 205 (-8, 71-67-67).
The Prestige at PGA West was Oregon's second tournament of the spring. The Ducks are off until March 4-5 when they will compete at the Fresno State Lexus Classic in Fresno, Calif.
