STANFORD, Calif. – Cathleen Santoso saved her best performance of the tournament for the last day and carded a 1-under 70 to lead the Ducks to a 12th-place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate in Stanford, Calif. UO started their day on the back nine and fired a 293 on in the third and final round to finish with a 879.
How It Happened: Santoso fired back-to-back 35's Sunday morning at the Stanford Golf Course. She birdied No. 11, 18 and 3 – two par-4's and one par 3 – and bogeyed one hole on each side. Since she withdrew in the opening round she did not record an overall score, but her two rounds of 71 and 70 was the best two-round score (141) for anyone on the team.
Kelsey Ulep wrapped up with a 1-over 72. She parred 15 holes and recorded one birdie on the par-3 No. 4 en route to her best round of the tournament. The freshman improved on her score every day (75-73-72, 220) to finish tied for 51st.
Caroline Inglis finished with a 4-over 75 and ended the tournament with a 218 (73-70-75), good for a 43rd-place tie.
Cassy Isagawa shot a 5-over 76. Her first-round 72 was her low round of the weekend (72-82-76).
Cali Hipp rounded out the day for the Ducks with a 78 (7-over). Hipp (76-76-78) and Isagawa both tied for 72nd place.
USC shot a final round 274 and Stanford fired a 275 in the last day to jump UCLA for a share of the team title with both team shooting 837. UCLA's Bronte Law won the individual title and finished 8-under (65-71-69, 205).
What It Means: The Ducks jumped two places in the team standings thanks to their performance Sunday morning. Oregon finished ahead of No. 19 UC Davis (881).
Different Leaders: Three different Ducks fired team-low rounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Isagawa led the charge on Friday with a 72, Inglis was the best yesterday with a 70 and Santoso led UO today with a 70 as well.
Next Up: The Ducks will conclude their fall tournament season at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii on Monday, Nov. 3 and Tuesday, Nov. 4.
