Oregon at Washington - Postgame Notebook
Oct. 17, 2015
•Royce Freeman knocked Marcus Mariota (2,237, 2012-14) and Maurice Morris (2,237, 2000-01) out of the top 10 on the UO career rushing list and now ranks eighth in school history with 2,362 yards, moving past Ahmad Rashad (2,306, 1969-71) and Jeremiah Johnson (2,336, 2005-08).
•Freeman recorded his fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season and 11th career, which ties him for fourth-most in UO history. He finished with 138 yards on 27 carries and now has 997 yards on the season.
•QB Vernon Adams Jr. returned to action for the first time since playing the first five offensive drives vs. Utah on Sept. 26. He finished 14 of 25 for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
•Adams Jr. extended his personal streak with at least one TD pass to 30 games.
•Adams Jr. has nine TD passes over two career games in Husky Stadium - the most by any QB on UW's home field since the start of 2014.
•Darren Carrington made his first appearance since last year's Rose Bowl and promptly scored the game's first touchdown. Carrington finished with a game-high 125 receiving yards on five catches, including two scores. The sophomore has three straight 100-yard receiving games and has totaled five touchdowns during that stretch.
•Bralon Addison scored the first rushing TD of his career, running in an 8-yard score in the 2nd quarter. Addison had a pair of receiving TDs at Husky Stadium in 2013.
•True freshman Kirk Merritt had the first multi-reception game of his career, catching a pair of passes for 18 yards.
•All-purpose WR Charles Nelson made his second straight start at safety.
•Juwaan Williams started at the other safety spot in place of Tyree Robinson, who moved to the outside to make his first start at cornerback. Both players set career marks in tackles with Robinson making a game-high 11 and Williams adding eight.
•Evan Voeller made his first career start, playing left guard in place of Matt Pierson, who had started the first six games of the season.
•Oregon held an opponent scoreless in the first quarter for the first time this season.
•The Ducks extended the longest winning streak in the 115-year history of the rivalry to 12 games, including five straight in Seattle. The Huskies have failed to score more than 20 points in eight of those 12 defeats.
