Tucson, Arizona – Oregon committed five errors while stranding 11 base runners as the Ducks dropped a 7-2 decision at Arizona in game one of a three-game series on Friday night at Hi Corbett Field.

How It Happened: Arizona (20-6, 5-2 Pac-12) jumped out to a 2-0 lead scoring a pair of runs in the third inning on two sacrifices. Oregon (17-9, 2-5 Pac-12) answered with a run in the top half of the fourth on a Jakob Goldfarb two-out single, but the Wildcats added a run in both the fourth and fifth and three runs in the sixth to pull away. Five of Arizona's runs were unearned including all three in the sixth inning.

What It Means: Oregon has lost its Friday game in all three of its Pac-12 series this season. The Ducks need to win Friday and Saturday to win the series against the Wildcats.

No Lack Of Hits: Oregon out-hit Arizona 11-7 but couldn't capitalize leaving 11 runners on base. Goldfarb, a freshman, led the way with his first career three-hit game (3-for-3, 1 RBI) while junior Brandon Cuddy added three hits (3-for-5) as well. Phil Craig-St. Louis went 2-for-4, while Matt Eureste, Josh Graham, and Tim Susnara each added one hit.

On Deck: Oregon and Arizona meet again on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with the game televised on the Pac-12 Networks. UO will send David Peterson (2-1) to the mound.
