HOW IT HAPPENED: The Ducks (6-1) wasted little time grabbing the first point of the day. Daan Maasland and Simon Stevens then clinched the point as they also won 6-1 at No. 2 over Bradford Zitsch and Andrew Dzolynsky.
In singles, Jayson Amos gave Oregon the 2-0 lead. He easily won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 over Zitsch. Cormac Clissold scored the next point as he collected a straight set win at No. 5 and then it was Thomas Laurent who sealed the win as he won 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2.
At No. 3, Simon Stevens, who won a lengthy first set 7-5, blanked Toby Boyer 6-0 in the second set to put the Ducks up 5-0 in the match. The Huskers (2-2) then claimed their only point of the match, picking up a win at No. 6. Daan Maasland bounced back after dropping his first set 6-2, winning his next two 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 to score the final point of the match.
