Ducks Named All-Conference, All-Academic

Linemen Jake Hanson and Calvin Throckmorton and kicker Matt Wogan were honored by the Pac-12 both athletically and academically.
EUGENE, Ore. — Senior tight end Pharaoh Brown was named first-team all-Pac-12 for 2016, the conference announced this week.
Brown, a senior who returned this season from a devastating leg injury suffered in November 2014, caught 33 passes for 426 yards and five touchdowns. He finished his career with 70 receptions for 1,011 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Sophomore running back Tony Brooks-James earned second-team honors as an all-purpose/special teams player. Brooks-James had three tackles covering kickoffs and punts in 2016.
Oregon's honorable mention all-conference picks were freshman linebacker Troy Dye, junior running back Royce Freeman, redshirt freshman center Jake Hanson, senior tight end Johnny Mundt, junior returner Charles Nelson, redshirt freshman right tackle Calvin Throckmorton, and senior kickoff specialist Matt Wogan.
Washington quarterback Jake Browning was named Pac-12 offensive player of the year, and USC cornerback Adoree Jackson was named Pat Tillman defensive player of the year. The freshmen of the year were USC quarterback Sam Darnold and Washington defensive back Taylor Rapp. Mike MacIntyre of Colorado was named coach of the year.
Three Ducks were named first-team Pac-12 all-academic, including Throckmorton (3.68, human physiology), senior defensive end T.J. Daniel (3.20, general social science and journalism) and senior linebacker Johnny Ragin III (3.74, applied economics, business and society). Ragin is a two-time all-academic honoree.
Hanson was a second-team pick. He carries a 3.36 GPA in human physiology.
Oregon's honorable mention all-academic picks were junior receiver Devon Allen, sophomore linebacker Kaulana Apelu, junior offensive lineman Doug Brenner, sophomore receiver Jalen Brown, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Drayton Carlberg, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Shane Lemieux, redshirt freshman cornerback Malik Lovette, sophomore defensive lineman Rex Manu and Wogan.
