SEATTLE, Wash. – Gage Matuszak hit a three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th to give Washington a 9-6 win over Oregon in Pac-12 Conference action on Thursday night.
How it happened: Oregon (10-8, 1-2 Pac-12) jumped out to a 3-1 lead with a run in each of the first three innings. Austin Grebeck led off the game with a single and scored on a double by Tim Susnara to take a 1-0 lead. Jakob Goldfarb double in the second scoring Jake Bennett to give the Ducks a two-run lead. After a solo home run by Joey Morgan cut the lead to 2-1, Bennett picked up a two-out RBI scoring Susnara in the third, when the Ducks had a chance to break it open. After Bennett's RBI and a Goldfarb walk loaded the bases, Travis Moniot lined out to short to end the inning.
Washington (11-6, 3-1 Pac-12) took advantage of the Ducks' missed opportunity and scored two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a 5-3 lead. The Ducks bounced back to tie the game in the seventh on Bennett's two-out, 2-RBI single but UW answered with a run off reliever Isaiah Carranza to take a 6-5 lead.
The Ducks bounced right back in the top of the eighth. Kyle Kasser picked up a two-out RBI driving in Travis Moniot, who reached on an error to lead off the inning, to tie the game.
Two-out clutch hitting: Oregon came through in some tough situations. The Ducks finished with five two-out RBI, with Bennett finishing with three and both Kasser and Susnara getting one each.

Grebeck has now reached base in 31 straight games, including all 18 this season … Closer Stephen Nogosek, who took the loss, gave up his first earned runs of the season on the Matuszak three-run homer … Every Duck position player played except senior Steven Packard and freshman Braden Stutzman (who is expected to redshirt) … Kyle Kasser had two hits to give him multi-hit games in each of his last three starts.
