The Willie Taggart era of Oregon football begins this fall with a home schedule that features Nebraska along with the Civil War.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Willie Taggart era of Oregon football will begin with four home games in the first six weeks of the 2017 season, according to the schedule released Wednesday by the Pac-12 Conference.
The 2017 regular season begins on Sept. 2 in Autzen Stadium against Southern Utah, and the Pac-12 opener is at Arizona State on Sept. 23. Oregon's bye week is in mid-November, and the regular season concludes with the only midweek game currently scheduled, the Civil War at home against Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 24.

In their first season under Taggart, the Ducks will field a team that returns quarterback Justin Herbert, running back Royce Freeman, five offensive linemen with significant starting experience and a receiving corps headlined by Darren Carrington II and Charles Nelson. On defense, seniors Henry Mondeaux, Jimmie Swain, Tyree Robinson and Arrion Springs return along with freshman all-America linebacker Troy Dye.
The Ducks will have seven home games in the fall, and welcome UCLA and Arizona back to their regular-season schedule as they look to bounce back from a 4-8 campaign in 2016. Oregon won't play USC and Colorado in 2017 and 2018, under the terms of the conference scheduling rotation.
Season tickets for a reserved seat in Autzen Stadium in 2017 start at $348. All season-ticket prices remained flat or have decreased since 2015, the last time the Ducks played a seven-game home schedule. Season-ticket holders receive additional benefits including priority access to postseason tickets, the annual equipment surplus season, and football team functions. Renewals are being accepted from current season-ticket holders through Feb. 24.
Oregon's 2017 nonconference schedule also includes a rematch with Nebraska, in Autzen Stadium on Sept. 9, followed by a trip to Wyoming the following week. After the Pac-12 opener at ASU, the Ducks return home to host California and Washington State in consecutive weeks.
Mid-October features back-to-back road games, at Stanford on Oct. 14 and at UCLA on Oct. 21. The month concludes with a return to Autzen Stadium against Utah on Oct. 28.
In November, Oregon plays at Washington on the opening Saturday, Nov. 4, before enjoying a bye week. Arizona hosts Oregon State that Saturday, Nov. 11, before the Wildcats travel to play in Autzen Stadium when the Ducks return to action on Nov. 18.
The Pac-12 championship game will be held either Friday, Nov. 30, or Saturday, Dec. 1, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Kickoff times and TV information for 2017 football games will be announced at a later date. A handful of nationally televised games are typically designated in the spring, with the remaining dates set come fall.
