Ducks Finish Day One of Nanea Pac-12 Preview

The Oregon women's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview on Monday at the Nanea Golf Club coming in at 28-over and tied for 10th place overall.
KAILUA KONA, Hawaii – The Oregon women's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview on Monday at the Nanea Golf Club coming in at 28-over and tied for 10th place overall.
How It Happened: The Ducks (310-302 – 612, +28) shot 18-over in round one on Monday but improved during round two finishing the day tied for 10th at 28-over par. UCLA leads the 12-team field at 20-under par.
Junior Petra Salko led the Ducks through the two rounds finishing tied for 15th overall at 2-over par. Salko sunk five birdies, four of those during round one. Stanford's Andrea Lee tops the leaderboard at 9-under par through two rounds.
Freshman Alexis Phadungmartvorakul came in tied for 31st at 5-over. Phadungmartvorakul stayed consistent in round two finishing at 1-over par, sinking four birdies throughout the two rounds.
Junior Kathleen Scavo struggled a bit in the first nine holes of round one carding three bogeys and one double bogey but came back sinking five birdies in the final 27 holes. Scavo ended the day at 6-over par and tied for 34th. Sophomore Amy Matsuoka rounds out the scorecard finishing the day at 15-over par and in 52nd place.
