For the ninth straight year, the Women of Oregon have been named the Terry Crawford Women’s DI Program of the Year
EUGENE, Ore. – For the ninth straight year, the Oregon women's track and field team has been named the Terry Crawford Women's DI Program of the Year, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.
The Men of Oregon finished second in the final standings for the John McDonnell Men's DI Program of the Year honor, behind Arkansas, marking the fifth straight year the UO men have finished in the top three.
Scoring is based on the team's finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, 31st = 31 points) with the lowest total score determining the award recipient.
The Women of Oregon left little doubt as to which team would take home the honor on the women's side, making history by completing the first-ever Triple Crown in women's NCAA DI history with national titles in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field in the 2016-17 academic year.
The Oregon women finished with a point total of 3, the lowest possible score for the Program of the Year scoring. Colorado was second with 22 points. Since the awards were created in 2009, the Ducks have won all nine Terry Crawford Program of the Year awards.
The Men of Oregon finished with 21 points, seven more than Arkansas' winning total of 14. The Ducks took third at the Indoor Championships, ninth at the Outdoor Championships and ninth at the Cross Country Championships. The Men of Oregon still own the most John McDonnell Men's DI Program of the Year awards with five.

The Ducks dominated at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a meet record 84 points, but had to pull out tight victories to win both the cross country and outdoor titles. The Ducks clinched the Triple Crown on Saturday when Raevyn Rogers anchored the 4x400 relay team to a collegiate record and national title.Never a doubt.
