10/14/18 | Football
EUGENE, Ore. – Following its dramatic overtime win against No. 7 Washington on Saturday afternoon at Autzen Stadium, Oregon moved up five spots to No. 12 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll released on Sunday morning.
Oregon also landed at No. 11 in the Amway Coaches Poll, up six spots from a week ago.
The Ducks' 30-27 win over the Huskies marked the first time since 2014 that they have knocked off ranked opponents in consecutive games. It was also Oregon's 13th win over the Huskies in the last 15 meetings.
After Oregon limited Washington to a field goal on its possession in overtime, redshirt freshman running back CJ Verdell found the end zone for the walk-off win on a six-yard run on third down. Verdell finished with 29 carries for 111 yards and two TDs en route to becoming the first Duck to run over 100 yards in the first three Pac-12 game since Byron Marshall in 2013.
Oregon now turns its attention to Washington State, which moved into both polls on Sunday, including No. 25 in the AP Poll. Saturday will mark the first time since 1986 that Oregon has taken on a ranked opponent in four consecutive games.
The Ducks will make their second appearance this season on ESPN's College GameDay, which will make its first-ever trip to Pullman, Wash. It will be the 24th time in program history that Oregon has been part of the featured matchup on College GameDay as either the home or road team.
