Ducks Wrap Up Play at the NCI

FORT WORTH, Texas – Oregon finished play at the Nike Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club Tuesday by shooting 14 over to finish the tournament tied for 12th at 30 over. Senior Edwin Yi shot the only under par round of the week for the Ducks with a 1-under 69 and came in tied for 21st.
How it Happened: Yi opened with a bogey-free 1-under 34 on the back nine to start his round, making birdie on the par-5 11th to go along with eight pars. He reached 3 under with an eagle on the par-5 first hole but dropped back to 1 under with a double bogey on his closing hole to shoot 69.
Donald Kay finished tied for 31st at 6 over after posting a 3-over 73. He made three birdies on the day but carded three double bogeys, including two in his final four holes after reaching 1 under for the round through 14.
Ryan Gronlund shot a 4-over 74 to finish tied for 45th while Sam Foust and Craig Ronne each shot an 8-over 78.
Duke won the team title by six shots at 2 under while the Chandler Eaton of Duke took home medalist honors with a one-shot victory at 6 under.
