Oregon's depth at QB and on the D line is improved over the road trip to Cal, with the return of Braxton Burmeister and Austin Faoliu.
PULLMAN, Wash. — Oregon's quarterback depth got a boost for the road trip to Washington this weekend, as sophomore Braxton Burmeister joined the travel party after missing the previous road trip at Cal due to a knee injury.
The Ducks travelled only two quarterbacks to Berkeley for that game, but have three in uniform for Saturday's game against the Cougars (4:30 p.m., FOX).
The defensive line depth also is better with the addition of both sophomore Austin Faoliu and his younger brother, Andrew Faoliu. Austin did not make the trip to Cal due to an ankle injury but returned last week against Washington. Andrew has yet to play as a true freshman but has practiced with the travel squad the past two weeks.
With freshman offensive lineman Penei Sewell back in Eugene nursing an ankle injury suffered against the Huskies, Sam Poutasi joined the travel squad to provide depth up front.
