Though he's still rehabbing an injury, freshman offensive lineman Penei Sewell made the trip back to his home state for Saturday's game.
SALT LAKE CITY — Oregon football coach Mario Cristobal wasn't about to let an injury deprive freshman offensive lineman Penei Sewell of a homecoming this season.
Though he's still on crutches while rehabbing an injury, Sewell was with the Ducks' travel squad for this weekend's trip to Utah. Sewell, the UO starter at left tackle until being injured against Washington, is a native of Saint George, on the Utah-Arizona border.
That's one of four changes to the Oregon travel squad from the most recent road trip, to Arizona. Tight end Kano Dillon and Austin Faoliu returned to the travel roster after missing that game due to injuries.
The Ducks also travelled receiver Kyle Buckner. In their place, linebacker Kaulana Apelu, offensive lineman Dawson Jaramillo, receiver Daewood Davis and safety Billy Gibson were not on the trip.
Oregon's full travel party for the game at Utah:
