Pacific Palisades, Calif. - Shweta Sangwan defeated the No. 23 player in the nation as she and Daniela Nasser closed out the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday.
How It Happened:Â Sangwan came ready to compete in the second round of the singles qualifying backdraw this afternoon.
The senior downed the No. 3 seed of the tournament and the No. 23 player nationally, Lauren Proctor of Winthrop, in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
Nasser showed the same toughness she has put on display all tournament, but her second-set rally fell short as she dropped the match to Vanderbilt's Amanda Meyer, 2-6, 5-7.
Up Next: The Ducks will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., for the Women of Troy Fall Invitational. Hosted by USC, the three-day tournament will run from Friday, Oct. 12 to Sunday, Oct. 14.
