Ducks Wrap Up Play at Pac-12 Championships

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – Oregon shot 3-over par as a team in the final round of the Pac-12 Championships at Rolling Hills Country Club Wednesday and finished in 11th place. Norman Xiong finished in 12th place individually at 5 under for the tournament.
How it Happened: Xiong came out firing, making birdies on holes 10 and 11 before an eagle on the par-5 15th hole got him to 4 under through six holes. He dropped a couple of shots with a double bogey at 16 but got a shot back at the par-4 18th to shoot a 3-under 33 on his opening nine. Xiong had a rocky second nine that included three bogeys and a birdie to finish with a 1-under 70.
Edwin Yi also shot a 1-under 70 and came in tied for 34th at 1 over for the week. He birdied the par-4 14th hole before an eagle on 15 to open with a 3-under 33 on the back nine. Yi had an up and down closing nine, shooting a 2-over 37 with four bogeys and two birdies.
Kevin Geniza turned in a round of even-par 71 for the third time this week and came in tied for 48th. After a 2-over 38 on the back nine, he made three birdies in a five-hole stretch to reach red numbers before a bogey at the par-4 sixth dropped him back to even for the round.
Thomas Mulligan shot a 2-over 73 while Ryan Gronlund and Donald Kay both finished with rounds of 3-over 74.
USC took home the Pac-12 team championship while Justin Suh of USC won the individual conference title.
