No. 5 Ducks Open Pac-12 Play Friday vs. Washington

EUGENE, Ore. - No. 5 ranked Oregon opens up the conference portion of its 2018-19 schedule at 6 PM on Friday at Matthew Knight Arena in a Pac-12 Networks televised matchup with Washington.

Notes: The Ducks have one of the most efficient offenses in the NCAA so far this season. UO's 92.6 points per game ranks second in the NCAA. Guard Amber Melgoza is averaging a team-high 19.2 ppg but is shooting just 39.2% overall and 28.3% from three.

RECENTLY VS. WASHINGTON
- Kelly Graves picked up his 500th career win when the Ducks defeated UW, 94-83, on Dec. 31, 2017.
- Sabrina Ionescu broke the NCAA's career triple-double record with her eighth on Dec. 31, 2017 against Washington. Ionescu tallied 24 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a win. The sophomore needed just 48 collegiate games to break the record.
- One of Graves' early top-25 wins at Oregon was a thrilling, 75-63, win at No. 24 Washington on Feb. 7, 2016. The Ducks trailed by as much as 17 points in the third quarter before outscoring UW, 21-11, in the third and 35-19 in the fourth. With star Jillian Alleyne in foul trouble and on the bench much of the game (she played only 18 minutes and scored nine points), the Ducks used six threes in the third to cut the UW lead to 44-40 going to the fourth. Oregon then used a 13-2 run in the fourth to put the game away. Maite Cazorla scored 16 points and hit four threes. Kelsey Plum had 26 points for UW but Chantel Osahor was limited to just five points in 39 minutes.
- Graves picked up another top-25 win against UW in the 2017 Pac-12 Tournament with Oregon's shocking 70-69 win over No. 11 ranked Washington at KeyArena. The win sewed up an NCAA Tournament bid for the Ducks, who topped Temple, Duke and Maryland en route to the Elite Eight.

CURRENT ROSTER VS. WASHINGTON
- Ruthy Hebard has had two straight double-doubles against Washington, going for 30 points and 14 rebounds plus 23 points and 11 rebounds in two meetings last season. In four career games against UW, Hebard is averaging 22.8 points on 71.4% shooting with 9.8 rebounds.

Junior Sabrina Ionescu picked up a record 13th career triple-double on Dec. 20 vs. Air Force. Ionescu was tied with BYU's Kyle Collinsworth for the all-time NCAA lead, both men's or women's, at 12 before tallying 17 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists against the Falcons. She extended her own record in the very next game, with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists on Dec. 21 vs. UC Irvine.
