Nation's Best Assemble for Nuttycombe

EUGENE, Ore. – On the heels of a three-week break after their last outing, the Ducks face a loaded field Friday morning at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison. The women's 'A' 6K is scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m. (PT) with the men's 'A' 8K to follow at 11 a.m.
Combined, the field features 39 teams—women: 20; men: 19—ranked in the most recent USTFCCCA national poll. The women's race will also feature seven of the top-10 teams in the West region with eight top-10 West teams in the men's field.
The Men of Oregon have held the No. 7 national ranking for the past two weeks while the Women of Oregon check in at No. 14 entering the Nuttycombe meet.

With three top-10 individual finishes, the Men of Oregon won the team title at the Bill Dellinger Invite (Sept. 28) ahead of a strong field that also included No. 2 BYU and No. 7 Portland. James West and Cooper Teare were third and fourth, respectively, with freshman Cole Hocker crossing in ninth. In the women's race, the Ducks were fourth behind a third-place finish by Susan Ejore.

Oregon's postseason begins Friday, Nov. 1 with the Pac-12 Championships at the Ash Creek Preserve in Monmouth, Ore. The Ducks opened the 2019 season on the course in early September. The Women of Oregon are the defending Pac-12 champions.
