Regional Gateway to the NCAA Meet
11/14/19 | Cross Country
EUGENE, Ore. – The second leg of the 2019 postseason takes the Oregon cross country teams to Colfax, Wash., for Friday's NCAA West Regional Championships. The women's 6K is scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. (PT) start with the men's 10K set to go off at 12:30 p.m. The top-two teams in each race will receive an automatic spot at the NCAA Championships.
The entire field including the at-large selections will be announced later in the weekend. The 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.

The program has collected 20 team titles at the NCAA regional meet including last year's win by the Women of Oregon. Individually, the Ducks have won 21 regional titles—11 men, 10 women—spread among 13 runners.

In their highest finish since 2014, the Men of Oregon were second at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships (Nov. 1) in Monmouth, Ore. Cooper Teare was the individual runner-up to lead six UO runners inside the top 20. James West (ninth place) and Jackson Mestler (14th) earned spots on the all-conference second team. On the women's side, Susan Ejore was ninth overall to lead the Ducks' to a fifth-place team finish.
