Yue Goes Low in Final Round of Fall

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Yin Ho Yue matched his career-low round with a 4-under 67 to highlight the final day of the Saint Mary's Invitational Wednesday at Poppy Hills Golf Club. Oregon shot 3 over in its last round of the fall to finish the tournament 14 over and in 11th.
How it Happened: Yue got off to a bit of a slow start with a bogey on the par-4 third hole, but responded with three straight birdies at holes four through six to get to 2 under on the day. He bogeyed eight but got the shot back at the par-5 ninth to make the turn at 2 under. The sophomore dropped a shot at 10 but made three birdies over the final eight holes, including back-to-back birdies to close his day and finish 1 under for the event, tied for 22nd.
Nate Stember turned in a steady round for the second straight day, shooting an even-par 71 to finish tied for 45th at 4 over. He opened his day with eight pars before back-to-back birdies at nine and 10 to get to 2 under before making bogeys at 12 and 16 to drop back to level par.
Kevin Geniza shot a 3-over 74 to finish the tournament 10 over and tied for 68th while Gian Luca Martinez also carded a 74, playing as an individual. After back-to-back under par rounds to open the tournament, Tom Gueant shot a 77 to finish tied for 45th and Edwin Kuang turned in a 4-over 75.
