
Ducks Maintain Program-Best No. 15 Ranking

EUGENE, Ore. – On the heels of two road wins this past weekend, the Oregon men's tennis team held steady at No. 15 in Tuesday's release of the ITA rankings. The ranking is a program high for the Ducks who have won eight straight and carry an 11-1 overall record.

The team will play three of its four matches in March at the home, beginning with a March 7 contest against Middle Tennessee. The Ducks are 8-0 at the Student Tennis Center this year.

March 7 vs Middle Tennessee – 6 p.m.
March 9 vs Washington – 2 p.m.
March 15 at UCSB – 2 p.m.
March 31 vs Utah – 12 p.m.

Oregon began the weekend with a 6-1 win over No. 46 Drake. The Ducks rallied to win the doubles point and then went on to win five of six singles matches. In Saturday's match at Wisconsin, Oregon dropped the doubles point and trailed 3-2 but wins by Ty Gentry and Riki Oshima secured the comeback victory.

Individually, senior Thomas Laurent was 2-0 in singles play and picked up his 92nd and 93rd career wins which ties the UO program record. Gentry and Joshua Charlton have pushed their winning streaks to 12 and 10 matches, respectively.
